Home was clean, comfortable bed and furniture, great supply of soft towels. It is remote but trails were not close enough to ride to so loading and unloading was required as well as locating a place to park the trailer. A/C and salt shaker were needed.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Very clean, had everything you need and great location. Only 20 mins to the pictures rocks cruises which I highly recommend. Would stay again.

Hello, the stay was very nice. Love the fire pit outback and the stay was nice. The Wi-Fi was nice bc reception in that area sucks. Lol
You should think about putting air conditioning in, placing curtains in the kitchen bc the sun blasts you while you’re eating and cooking. There needs to be more instructions on how to use the stove and oven. We didn’t know how to use oven and was scared to turn it on. Other than that it was nice!

Cottage was clean and property manager was very responsive and helpful. We checked out many different areas and everything was within reasonable driving distance. Kitch-iti-Kipi, Lake Michigan, Oswald’s Bear ranch and of course, we spent most of our time in Munising. Bonfires at night were a favorite thing to do and the night sky is beautiful, as is the sunset. Bonus to be able to bring our puppy, who was living his best life running through the open acreage of the property.

This was a very private secluded property. We were visiting Pictured Rocks in Munising MI and were discouraged by all the people so we decided to get away and found this charming single level home in the country - We loved it - Had all the amenities of home including a washer and drier. Just 15 minutes from the tour boat for Pictured Rocks. We would highly recommend this property.

This is a great modern cabin, very cozy and comfortable with everything you need. Basic kitchen stuff, lots of towels and toiletries. Bed and linens are very comfortable. Good smart TV with access to Netflix. I only wish the back deck was a screened in porch so that we could be outdoors enjoying the view with getting bothered by mosquitos and flies. The view of the lake is in the distance and not accessible. You are really out of site of neighbors in this cabin. Easy drive to kayaking the Picture Rocks. A couple fair restraunts nearby.

The cabin is just as described, small and upgraded in a beautiful and secluded location. It's perfectly located in the middle of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore so easily access all of the spots off H-38 but avoid all the activity of town or a campground. We really enjoyed coming back to the cabin each night after a day of hiking or lake exploration. My one recommendation would be a dehumidifier. I didn't realize in the description that there is no air conditioning, which most of the year wouldn't be an issue. But it was incredibly humid and sticky in the cabin and opening doors and windows are not an option because of the mosquitos.
Otherwise this was a welcome escape and we would stay here again.

Nice little cabin that could use a few home touches to make it much better but definitely one of the best showers ive had staying in a vacation rental. The cabin was clean and had the basic needed supplies expected for cooking had extra blankets might need more big towels for a family. We were only disappointed that there wasn't a good way to get to the lake to fish from the property with what we had didn't want to risk getting muddy without an outdoor hose to clean off with. Good place for bird watching as we seen plenty of water birds and even a humming bird Definitely a good central location for explorering the Pictured Rocks area

What an incredible gem tucked away in the forest between Munising and Grand Marais. This cabin oozes cozy ambiance and is a perfect launching point for snowmobiling adventures. Just hang a left out of the driveway and connect with trail 8 located only a minute or two away. Remote check in went smoothly. I didn't have any issues finding the cabin - instructions were accurate. The driveway is adequately plowed and easily fit my 7'x16' 2 sled trailer. There was ample room to maneuver the trailer despite snowbanks over 6 feet high. I mostly unplugged when I was lounging at the cabin after hitting the trails, but the internet connection was plenty fast and stable when I used it. I used the kitchen to prepare meals every evening during my 3 night stay. There was a nice array of pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. Overall, it was a great stay. I will not hesitate to stay at the Bear Den again in the future.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The fireplace is the main source of heat and kept the place nice and warm. The snowmobile trails were easy to get to. It snowed a couple times during our stay and a man came and took care of clearing the snow in the driveway each time. The street it is located on did not get plowed right away by the county, so I am glad we had a 4WD truck.

This cabin is amazing. Very clean. We were completely snowed in and were unable to go anywhere and still had the best time relaxing by the fire. A local man made sure we were plowed out when it was time to leave. We were happy about that. Could use a few more games (playing cards) and maybe a flashlight but other than that we were 100% satisfied.

Most important thing for me when I travel is to look out at a nice view, and this did not disappoint. It is beautiful. Cabin is charming and everything was as described and we had a lovely time.

This was a perfect escape from everything. The cottage sits beside a small wilderness Lake that you can view from a nice porch area. You’ll be surrounded by trees, nature, and beautiful silence. Great WiFi if you want or need it once you get here but.throw away your cell phone until you get here. No reception or GPS. Loved this place.

This cabin is adorable and the owner has thought of everything. There are lots of extra blankets, board games, videos and the kids bedroom even has a packNplay to use. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 for the condition was a couple of small things, like the shower bottom could be recaulked, the arm chairs are a little worn, the master bedroom could use another bedside table, and the stove flame is a little weak. But these little things in no way diminished our stay and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a great get a way in this cabin. It offers privacy with a beautiful view of crooked lake and is just a 30 minute drive away from hiking Pictured Rocks and Munising where you can grab a bite to eat or go to the grocery store. The cabin was clean and comfortable and provided everything that we needed for our stay.

This cozy cabin is located near the center of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We had easy access to hiking trails and Munising. We had 4 adults staying here and loved that the cabin is stocked with everything you need and is really private and quiet. The lake had lots of wildlife. We heard loons, a barred owl, tree frogs and saw two swans. We were able to enjoy a fire outside in the provided fire ring. We stayed three nights and traveled from one end of Pictured Rocks to the other taking in all the sights. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet get away.

We had a great stay in this nice little cabin in the woods! Beautiful property, secluded and lovely...there were four of us including two teenagers and the cabin was perfect. Lots of nice details, cozy, inviting fireplace and luxury hand soap!

Outstanding property. Well-appointed and amply supplied with towels and washcloths. Full kitchen, comfortable living area. Bed is exceptionally comfortable. You're deep in the forest here, but easily accessable, only a mile from the main road. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the cabin for two nights and had a beautiful time. The cabin was cozy and clean and everything was easy. 2nd day was rainy and it was misty and foggy looking out the window over the lake. Stunning. Quick drive to hike pictured rocks — great location. Also, we left our fav jacket and they were super kind to mail it back. So thankful for our time up there totally recommend for couples friends or families.

Beautiful, very rustic location with an outstanding view of Crooked Lake. If you love nature, this cabin is wonderful. The only problem was a muddy driveway and muddy back yard. This was a major flaw, and we would not stay here again because of this. The muddy areas could easily be corrected with gravel, or other substrate.

Great cabin! Clean, newly remodeled. A little off he beaten path but very private and secluded. Short distance to most of the trails within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make our meals in evenings and we were out most of the day. We had a fabulous time in a beautiful area!

It was a nice little spot to find for a night away from any distractions. The road is kind of hard to maneuver during snow season but the cabin was a great place, I wish the check in time would be sooner (4pm) to enjoy the cabin longer and the check out time later, 10 am is a bit short in such a relaxing spot, it felt rushed to leave.

The bear den is a beautiful little cabin. Very clean and well set up for our stay. The family and I love the surrounding area. Located in the middle of all outdoor activities not farm from Munising or Grand Marais.

Bear Den was an amazing cabin with all the comforts of home! It was VERY CLEAN and UPDATED!!! Very remote yet close to all attractions. We spent many days hiking Pictured Rocks, visiting Munising, dinner at Bear Trap (twice) and Tracy’s at Roam Inn in Munising (best dinner ever), kayaking Kingston and Ross lake (we brought our own kayaks), fishing, etc.... We will return to Bear Den, amazing cabin that has it all!

The bear cabin is lovely - just as advertized. The space is in a lovely wooded area so make sure you have deep woods off - nice fire pit and close o Grand Marais and Munising.

It was a great little please to stay! Mosquitos were awful though, which is Mother Nature and can’t be helped. Clean, comfy, far away from the hustle and bustle

The view over the lake behind was very peaceful and we enjoyed a few nights outside with a campfire. We really enjoyed exploring the Pictured Rocks area and coming back to this very cozy cabin with a warm fireplace, hot shower and comfortable beds. We had a few meals at the Bear Trap Inn. Highly recommend a trying a Pastie if you are not from the UP. There is no cell signal so we used the Wi-Fi at the cabin to plan out next day and make and receive texts and calls

This place was amazing! It gave off the perfect chic cozy cabin feel! I loved relaxing on the back porch and looking at the beautiful view the most. The place was very accommodating with towels, blankets, dishes, and even a water cooler! This place has wifi but it did not have much service due to the location. Overall a great stay, worth the money in my opinion.

The directions to the cabin were perfect. The access code and the entry very easy. We found everything we needed inside. Beautifully decorated and very clean! Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and the area. We would definitely stay again, and recommend to others!

The location is great – nice and secluded. The site is like having a tent in a campground but with all the ease and amenities, including Wi-Fi and TV. The cabin is clean and clutter-free. We could easily make it ours for the week. In short, it was the perfect environment for what we needed – a place to get away coming out of a pandemic. As to the greater area, we thoroughly enjoyed Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, taking hikes as well as the boat tour – a definite must-do activity. The Seney National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most peaceful places we have ever visited. Taking the 1.5-mile walk around the pond by the visitor center as well as the seven-mile one-way driving loop were almost meditative experiences. The local hidden gem is the Melstrand General Store. Everything you could hope for from a back-country general store and then some. The only fault we found was something that wasn’t made very clear on the listing on the web site. While supplies are provided for kitchen and bath, we found that these were a fixed amount – no refills. For a seven-night stay, there were only two extra rolls of toilet paper. When we called to ask if they could bring us some more, we were told that it was not their policy to restock during the visit. The only upside to this was that we discovered the Melstrand General Store.

Cabin was like new and very comfortable for a family of 4. Directions were very good on finding it. Very quiet. Cabin was fully stocked just like your home kitchen with good internet and satellite TV because there is no cell service. Towels were like a high end hotel. Would stay here again without question.

The location is great with a short driving distance to many scenic spots. I would highly recommend this rental unit to anyone interested in touring this national lakeshore.

This is a fantastic place to visit and a wonderful vacation rental. I have stayed in vacation rentals more times than I can count, and this one gets an A+. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, great communication and perfect location and quiet.

We had a very positive experience and wonderful trip to Pictured Rocks/Munising. The house is in a great location, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, Artist’s Alley, parks and the cruise docks. The gelato at East Side Sweets was phenomenal!! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit squeaky, which would wake you up when someone rolled over (lol). Overall, it was a very positive experience and we would stay here again.

Great location for food, lakeside entertainment, close proximity to all the hike locations and Painted Rock Kayak adventure. Nice extra amenities were provided, like Keurig and Kcups, toiletries and food seasonings. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom door not always easy to open, but not a big deal. Lots of channels on TV.

This charming rental was in a prime location to shops, restaurants and the Pictured Rocks cruises. In addition, it is close to the many waterfalls and hiking trails. As others have said, this unit has an interesting layout but for just the two of us, it was perfect. The unit was very clean with plenty of amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. We only used the Keurig and microwave, so cannot comment on the stove or cookware offered. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The small living room area could use an update on the couch (squeaky cushions). And as already mentioned, there is a very small table for 2 in the kitchen (not conducive to eating meals). We did not get much in the way of communication from the manager other than a confirmation of our reservation and completed payments. I did inquire/email about 2 days before our stay to get more information and was told I would receive an email the night before our arrival date (wish we would have been told this prior). We would recommend this property to friends/couples or maybe a family with 1-2 small children. Munising is a delightful town and people very friendly.
